So i guess this the part where i speak in third person and describe my life right? Well im going to do it a little different......
Ever since i can remember i have had a facination with music and anything involving art in which i could express myself. Growing up wasent easy, there were allot of problems and stress in the household so to deal with it i would zone out and just write lyrics or create something artistic. Depression had plagued me in my life genetically, even still i fight it. Ever since a kid ive had allot of rage and anger problems so when i found out i could take a casette tape and put it in a walkman, strap some headphones onto my melon and play my favorite music on the highest volume possible, i fell in love......actually should i use the word, "ADDICTED!"
I vividly remember being around 7 years old visiting my dads house on th weekends and begging my older cousin Joanna to buy me the new N.W.A tape (100 miles & running, to be exact). I know my parents wern't to fond about the lyrics and content so i would hide these tapes like a drug dealer hides his stash. I remember my stepdad (at the time) found one of my Ice-Cube tapes and smashed it after he heard about 20 seconds. Im not gonna get too involved here airing out my childhood but these are just a couple of fond memories i have that plugged me into the Hip Hop genre.
Around 1997 my mom came home with this old school Packard Bell computer, she thought it would be a good idea to have this "new" thing called the internet in our home, i guess she wanted to type out documents and etc. Well, me on the other hand was thinking more of looking at naked women and making some music. So what i did is buy a audio editing program called "Magix Music Maker Generation 6" and i would write songs and record them on this little plastic mic that came with the computer. I actually still have my first songs, they sound similair to a car accident. My voice was off beat, i had no idea what a punchline was, the quality would of sounded better with a long string and a dixie cup but this part of my life was the foundation being poured.
I kept writing and kept getting better, i was recording my own music, i was making my own beats, i was adding all kinds of cool sound effects to the mixes, sampling movie clips, scratching records (moms of coarse), the whole 9. Anyone that remotely even liked hip hop i was begging them to listen to my tracks and giving them burned cd's with scribbled marker as title packed with all sorts of stuff.
At this point, i record my own music, make beats, mix tracks, master and also do graphic design. The All-Nighter Mixtapes that are available for free download are also done by me, from the graphics to hand picking the beats and emcees that will be on it. Even the website you are looking at was created by me. I'm not here trying to boast about the skills i have attained, i just want to express to you how much dedication and years that were spent on building this musical and artistic craft.
See the thing is, allot of Hip Hop is about guns, drugs, money & violence which is not who i actually am as a person. I never pretended to be someone else just to fit in to this culture. I appreciate the gangster hardcore rap beacuse thats the genre i love, the hard boom bap with some sick samples and hooks that consisted to only scratches, thats my shit!. I may not agree with the messenge but i respect the emcees, and i believe in "if you live it then spit it". So where im getting at is that, the music i compose is strictly who i am. Im not a thug, i dont have a gun, i dont sell drugs, i dont do them, i didnt grow up on the streets, so what kind of artist would i be if i rapped about it just to fit in? a lieing ass fake emcee!!!! There's allot out there, but I aint one of them. My songs range from drug addiction to how i love huge boobs. I have tracks that you could throw on in a club and people would lose there frigen mind but i also have songs written about manic depression filled months and how hard life was going at that point in my life. The whole point of this is that i am an artist that just wants to be heard, at this point i havent sold one song and have over 400 that I've made over the years. I love music and am just gratefull for the gift and that some people enjoy it.
I wish i was more active in Hip Hop like performing shows but its hard to find time and the dedicated people that will be willing to do it. So far i have done about 10 live shows, and I've colaborated with a ton of incredible artists including - Narkotik, Crimson Bile (Crakd & Ice-Pic), K9NE, Aztech, M-dot, S-BO, ENEF, Blakey, Kram Session, Hibernation, Rheotaxis, Taiyamo Denku. Rek One, Burnt MD, Chooch McNasty, Wicked Syndicate and the list goes on............"special shout outs to Applied Dynamics, Life & Death Productions & Anno Domini Beats"
The projects that have been created so far are called "The All-Nighter" mixtapes collection. There is vol.1 & vol.2 available for free download in the "music" section. Volume 3 & my solo album will be coming out mid June 2010, also "The Leftovers" mixtape will be also soon,......be on the lookout and keep coming back for the updates.
